This is a very good article. At your conclusion, it would be a good idea if you clarified that talking to someone means talking to a trained professional. Trauma is extremely complicated and sonetimes deadly and it’s really not a good idea to try to work through it with someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing. Having said that, great support comes from a variety of places, including friends and family.

I would also add another point — you begin to question your own reality after an abusive relationship that leads to PTRS. Up is down, down is up. You find yourself not trusting your own judgment and struggling to make sense if what happened. That’s what happens when you’re in a relationship with a personality-disordered individual. At any rate, good job.
