Thanks for your feedback. And because you’re a fellow writer, I’m going to point out a few things. First, yes, people are absolutely claiming it killed the franchise. I literally provided links. It’s a common subject on Youtube. Second, The only reason that fans love the movie is because they’re being paid off? Really? Any evidence to support that? It’s not really appropriate for us to speculate wildly. Third, TLJ is an example of a movie that people love but that many fans (not all, not even most) dislike. A movie can be critically well-received while at the same time disappointing fans. Plenty of people loved TLJ — 1.5 billion dollars worth of people. TLJ does many things quite well. It does have flaws, which I outlined, but it does many things well. It just doesn’t sit well with purists.
