Thanks for your comment. It’s incredibly difficult to write an article like this one that addresses both genders, nor do I think it would be honest. For example, men don’t get together with their friends and hold court about their relationships. That’s just not something a typical man would do. I’ve also never dated men, so I’m not really in a position to write about male dating behaviors. But you raise a larger issue here that frankly gets on my nerves. There is no shortage of female writers who go out of their way to crucify men for behaviors that easily transcend gender, but for some reason they get a pass. And as the female point of view is so well represented on Medium, I see no issue with adding my own gender-specific slant on things. What is good for the goose is good for the gander as they say.
