It’s too bad that journalistic malpractice really isn’t a thing, from a legal point of view, though it probably should be. In my own profession, I maintain two professional licenses and answer to three ethics boards. It would be nice if journalists were held to a similar standard. This is true in particular for citizen journalists as well, who are in no way accountable for anything that they do. Ever. At all. At least someone at Fox or CNN can be fired. What’s the consequence for “rogue” journalists flying off the handle? It sure as shit isn’t a lack of interest from readers.

It’s pretty clear that you want this level of accountability for the so-called mainstream media. And I do agree with that 1000%. Would you be willing to be regulated as well?
