It’s hard to dispute anything in this piece, which is well written and focused. My experience has been that many people are hard wired to think negatively, and it is as much a part of who they are as their personality. Which is to say, difficult, bordering on impossible, to change.

I know a man who is always positive, but he told me it took 13 years of intensive psychoanalysis to get that way. 13 years. So I suppose it’s possible, but at what cost, in terms of money and time? Most folks don’t have access to the kind of services needed to affect long term positive change, which, in my estimation, is the real culprit.
