In many ways, this is one of those stories that is as old as time — the student falling in love with the teacher. I get why this happens. I’ve had some powerful relationships with clients. Fortunately, none have ever wanted to be friends. I don’t know if that’s because I set good boundaries, or because I’m an ass. Maybe both? Anyway, I like how this piece kinda demystifies the therapeutic relationship and makes it more approachable and relatable. Thanks!
