Hello again. I have actually been the victim of narcissistic abuse. Twice. One time it almost destroyed me. The second time I had professional experience so I was more aware of what was going on. But I think you’re getting away from the point of my article, which I tried to make clear — attacking one mental disorder is an attack on all mental disorders. Lay people need to stay away from using clinical terms about which they are unfamiliar. There are any number of ways to call out bad behavior without falling back on diagnoses that they are not qualified to make. And no, I never once suggested that serial killers and abusers shouldn’t be called out publicly. But there are ways to do that without weaponizing diagnostic labels. That’s all I’m really saying. Thank you.
