First rate piece mate! My problem with self-help articles comes from my training as a therapist — it’s unethical to give advice to people. I get that these people aren’t therapists, but it still gets under my skin. I plan on doing a piece myself about this topic, though I doubt it will rose to the level of comic genius that is the hallmark of your writing.
