Ezra, good for you for addressing this with your therapist. It sounds like she handled the issue like a professional.

My suggestion — develop some goals with your therapist (e.g., I will start dating again in two months, I’ll start doing yoga) and try to focus on achieving those goals (whatever goals you want). Doing this has a way of a) distracting you from the loss and b) giving you a sense of accomplishment and c) shortening the duration of your mourning period.
